NORTHWEST RETIRED SCHOOL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION
(NRSEA)
A local chapter of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA)
Who is TRTA
TRTA is the only statewide organization in Texas that works exclusively for retired public school and higher education personnel at the legislative level to maintain or improve benefits to all retirees. TRTA fought for the repeal of the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO) and we WON!! TRTA has been working for cost of living adjustments for retirees. And they protect and improve your TRS Care benefits by advocating for better coverage options and affordable premiums.
TRTA is the biggest, most active, most influential advocacy group protecting your retirement security!
Who are we you ask?
Northwest RSEA is an affiliate of TRTA (Texas Retired Teachers Association). We provide information and resources about upcoming local and state elections and legislative actions. We visit with legislators in person and virtually and stay in touch by phone and email.
NRSEA, organized in 2008, exist to provide retired school personnel and others who support our concerns an avenue for social inter-action, community involvement, support for our schools' personnel and children and legislative interaction to support the maintenance of our TRS pension and healthcare.
